The City of Saratoga Springs, in conjunction with its Smart City Commission, is coordinating a series of regional innovation and educational events to raise awareness of and build alliances to support smart job growth and foster the smart industries ecosystem in the region. NYSTEC and the AI Center of Excellence are proud to be the first to participate in this Lunch and Learn series with AI Capital District, a panel discussion regarding Artificial Intelligence on January 24th, 2019 at the Saratoga City Center in Saratoga Springs, NY at 12pm.

The panel discussion will be led by local AI pioneers in various fields of research and development including Bob Bedard, President/CEO of deFacto Global, Inc. and the AI Center of Excellence in Troy, NY, and Colin Garvey, RPI PhD Candidate in the Science and Technology Studies department who’s work focuses on ethics and policy in technology and AI.

The event begins at 12:00 EST and begins with a thirty-minute networking session, followed by a ninety-minute panel discussion where speakers will collectively share ideas and viewpoints in a conversational style. Topics to be included in the discussion range from defining what AI is today, how it has evolved and current trends, current research and development, ethics and policies surrounding AI and further information on the AI Center of Excellence and its goals for the Capital District.
