This year’s deFacto 5k kicked off early on Thursday, 10/12 during Dynamics Communities’ 2017 Summit.
For readers who don’t already know, the deFacto 5k is a charity fun-run held annually in conjunction with Dynamics Communities’ events. 100% of 5k proceeds are donated to a different local food pantry to help end hunger. Under the belief that no one should go without a meal, deFacto Global has proudly underwritten the event as a way of giving back to the host community.
Eric Taft, the Community Engagement Manager for Rise Against Hunger, opened this year’s race with kind and gracious remarks before walkers and runners set out on a 3.14m course around the Gaylord Opryland. The deFacto 5k is made possible thanks to the ongoing support from Dynamics Community, and the generous support of our partners, runners, and donors.
“Sponsoring the deFacto 5k is without question the best way for a company in the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem to support the work of deserving non-profits in Summit’s host city. The race itself is great fun, with lots of positive energy and friendly competition. We’re honored to continue to be a part of this well-run event.” – Jason Gumpert, MSDynamicsWorld.com
Registration for the deFacto 5k, Pheonix will be available soon. Sign up for our 5k newsletter to get involved.
